Add the cheese to the casserole dish and stir in the cornstarch and nutmeg. Add the apple juice and mix thoroughly.

Place the casserole dish in the microwave and microwave on high heat for 3 minutes. Stir, and microwave for 3 more minutes in 30-second intervals, stirring each time. Serve in a warmed fondue pot or in the casserole dish. (Serving in the casserole dish will make it easier to reheat if necessary.) Serve with the breadsticks for dipping.

Chocolate Toblerone Fondue

½ pound strawberries

2 (3.5-ounce) Toblerone bars

6 tablespoons light cream or half-and-half

Wash the strawberries and remove the hulls (the green leaves and “core” on top). Dry with paper towels.
